The RST Jacket features a softshell textile outer construction, typical in appearance to that of sports clothing and urban fashion items. This softshell material is hardwearing enough to pass CE approval testing to single A status without any additional reinforcement from anti-abrasion materials. This is because the softshell outer construction dissipates the friction energy through heat transferal, spreading the heat over a wider area. The softshell riding jacket is only recommended for urban and lower speed riding.
Beneath the surface of the Havoc Textile Jacket, you'll find pockets that are designed to house CE approved armour. You'll find RST's new Airflow CE armour fitted at the elbows and shoulders as standard, with a pocket included for adding a CE approved back protector if you wish to upgrade the protection further. Passive protection comes in the form of subtle reflective detailing found around the jacket, designed to improve your visibility when riding in low light or poor weather conditions.
Featured in the RST Havoc jacket is a SinAqua waterproof, breathable membrane. This waterproof membrane aims to minimise water entry into the jacket, keeping the clothing beneath dry even if you find yourself caught out in the worst of the weather. This membrane is also breathable, allowing water vapour (sweat) to escape, keeping your base layers fresh and dry when you reach your destination. A hood with drawstring adjustment will also help keep your head dry when you're off the bike and walking around at your chosen destination. This hood is removable with a simple zipper and reattached quickly should the situation call for it.
