The Kalix 2.0 is an evolution of its predecessor: the Kalix. But so different and so much better is the new version that we believe it was a mistake to even give it the same name. The old Kalix was a stiff and uncomfortable, 3-layer, Pro-Shell laminated jacket with no bells and whistles; not even venting. Whilst similar in concept, the new version shows how simple but significant changes can totally transform the wearability of a garment. The new Kalix 2.0 is now a 2-layer, Performance Shell jacket. This makes it much easier to wear and much more comfortable, it now has venting that is better than any jacket in the Rukka range, with the exception of the off-road oriented Kallavesi. Rukka has achieved great things with this jacket, and they have done so whilst managing to lower the price. This means Rukka have had to remove some features namely a thermal liner and back protector.
