Oxford HotGrips Pro TouringHOTGRIPS® PRO are the latest evolution of Oxford's vast HOTGRIPS® range - a fully integrated heated grip, which comes in 3 brand new grip patterns. On a very practical level, these are our first fully silicone grips; this incredible material increases their lifespan by up to 200% without compromising comfort or performance, as well as reducing cable strain and increasing grip levels. Moreover, there is also no separate switchgear to find space for and install, because each grip houses its own internal temperature control unit, operated by a power/temperature button with an LED light on the clutch-side grip. On a more technical level, the intelligent controller will independently measure and control the temperature of each grip using inbuilt thermistors to maintain the desired temperature setting. HOTGRIPS® PRO TOURING combines a knurled base for exceptional grip with our hex grip pattern for added comfort and durability around the crook of the thumb. Inbuilt thermistors maintain the desired grip temperature as the environment around you changes, so you can stay warm and travel further for longer. Key Features Intelligent Design

wiring harness needs improving.
I installed these on a 2024 Moto Guzzi V7 850 model ten. All went "OK" until you route the wires from each grip to the wiring junction. The leads are simply too short and need to go UNDER the tank where they are better protected. Worse, the junctionsd are not fully overmolded as claimed and leave insulated wire exposed without any added protection. Not being under the tank, that's a problem. OK, that's the "bad". The good is that these do work really well as advertised. The long lasting silicone grip is a nice texture that has excellent grip on leather gloves. The LED is easy to see and the small button isn't in the way and yet is easy to depress and operate the hot grip PRO. I didn't need to cut the PRO touring on the V7, I just added a few washer spacers to clear the bar end weight from the grips. They look factory if you don't see the poorly designed cable junction with the exposed insulated wires. They can fix the wiring harness and have a steller product. As is, it is just four star good because I don't expect that junction to last the test of time exposed like it is. Five star stuff doesn't have issues.

Good Quality.
After looking over the options, I selected Oxford for the quality of materials (silicone grip material) and performance (heat settings offered). I will NOT use these arcoss the battery but ground them through an ignition key switched 12V solenoid. The hot lead is on the battery. This way they are OFF if the key if OFF. No accidental batteries drained. The grips aren't easy to put on and super glue is near an instant bond. The no glue trial says they are going to be hard to install (initial quick test to make sure they work BEFORE I use glue!). I contacted my local Moto Guzzi guys and asked if they are familiar with these, and they said yes. I'm going to have the grips put on by the shop so as to not destroy an expensive purchase. I'll do all the wiring myself. The wire harness seems to be of proper quality and water proof. No mistakes wiring as the connector are all keyed. The install is conceptually easy except the snuggness of the grip and the fast acting super glue. So be ready to get it right QUICKLY or you'll have a half-on glued grip. Don't use paint, contact cement or hair spray or anything else as the HEAT will impact those chemicals ability to keep them glued on. I've already seen the results of that! Use the recommended adhesive. The silicone grips are grippy, but maybe not as foregiving to vibration or impacts as my current grips. But, to transfer heat they need to be in more positive contact with your gloved hand and thus they do feel a little "hard" under your hand. Not excessive but you will notice it if you have softer grips now. How that translates to riding I don't know yet. As far as heat, a test by plugging it all in DRY on the clutch side (no glue), they get good and warm! The LED is easy to see and seems to respond well to a gloved hand. They should be really nice on my V7 850.
