Really happy with the Profile V
Well made, comfortable and feels pretty light to wear.
Not the quietest helmet but I’m still able to listen to music on a ride or chat to mates .
I understand why Arai have opted not to have an integrated sun visor and I know they have another option but I miss not having one now we are into the Australian summer.
I purchased the Arai Profile V with the UK Flag. This is the first Arai I've owned and I'm really enjoying it. It is very comfortable, with an easy on and off thanks to the extra 5mm length and width. I like the traditional Arai design; smooth and round on the outside but fits an intermediate head like mine very well. My head measures 59.5 cm and the Large fits true to size. Some people may not like the fact there is no internal drop down sun visor, and while they are a nice feature to have, my riding career started when no helmet had internal sun visors, proper ventilation or true shield mechanisms. So I can deal with it. Unlocking and lifting the face shield will take some practice, as I'm successful only half the time. Right now I just lower the shield but don't lock it, so I'm cheating a little. I do wish the chin curtain was a little larger to block more air coming up, but I improvised with chin curtain extender I had from a previous helmet, and it works OK. Last point is the chin strap could be a little longer on the side with the double D's to make it easier to strap in and snap on the tab. Overall, the quality is great. I like the more traditional Arai rear spoiler; subdued and practical. I don't like large rear spoilers, so the Profile V is a classic look. Cheers
