How To Fit A Pinlock Insert
Pinlock – Fog Free Systems.
Pinlock Fog Resistant Visor inserts ensure you have a clear view whatever the weather conditions. Pinlock is created out of a moist-absorbing plastic and the silicone seal on the Pinlock creates an air tight double visor. It is easy to fit - placed between two adjustable pins - and the system is interchangeable making it easy to switch visor inserts when the weather changes. Pinlock can be used all year round during hot and humid conditions and wet; cold periods and makes riding with a completely closed visor entirely possible without any visor misting.
Pinlock Protectint Visor insert is designed to darken in sunlight.
A pinlock Polishing Cloth and clear plastic pocket wallet are included. This Pinlock Protectint Visor insert, for Shoei Pinlocked Visors,is clear for night use or poor light conditions and darkens in UV Light such as Sunlight. Pinlock Protectint Visor inserts have the added benefit of being Anti fog. The darkening of the Visor insert takes about 1 minute (under the visor) and a little longer to turn back to totally clear depending upon UV and temperature.

I ordered this pin lock and after fitting it had problems with misting. A quick phone call to Visor Shop and Paul gave some very helpful advice over the phone. When this didn’t fix the problem, they sent me a replacement pin lock within a day. The replacement is perfect and gives the right amount of shade from the sun for winter riding. Great product Great service!
Years coming and just great. No need to bring glasses and the transition is seamless in that unless you look in the mirrors, you don't see the pinlock getting darker. I haven't been out on a really low sun day and at the moment it seems more of a dark smoke, but that maybe the sun, but it has taken all the glare away - so very happy. Great service from The Visor Shop too ....
